Praia do Guincho: is a popular Atlantic beach located on Portugal's Estoril coast, 5 km from the town of Cascais, and is located in the municipality of Cascais, more precisely in the parishes of Cascais and Alcabideche, in the District of Lisbon. Guincho is nearby small villages like Areia, Charneca, Figueira do Guincho and historical Biscaia.
Porto Covo: is one of the two civil parishes (freguesias) in the municipality of Sines. It is located in the western coast of Portugal, about 170 km (110 mi) south of Lisbon and is well known for its beaches. The name "Porto Covo" probably means Port of the covos, where a covo is a kind of fishing net for capturing lobsters and crabs.
Arrábida Natural Park: the Mediterranean-like vegetation and microclimate of which resemble Adriatic locations such as Dalmatia. The highest point in the park is the Serra da Arrábida at an elevation of 499 metres (1,637 ft). Two of the park's beaches Portinho da Arrábida and Figueirinha are popular among the inhabitants of Lisbon and Setúbal. The former, on a small bay, and with a little island off the shore, is especially famous, being a regular feature on Portuguese TV commercials. In 2004, a fire destroyed a significant part of the park, which is now slowly recovering.
Trincomalee: has some of the most picturesque and scenic beaches found in Sri Lanka, relatively unspoilt and clean. The area is famous for bathing and swimming, owing to the relative shallowness of the sea, allowing one to walk out over a hundred meters into the sea without the water reaching the chest. Whale watching is a common pastime in the seas off Trincomalee, and successful sightings are on the rise with the increase of tourism in the area.
